Bite Is Off
Having the bite off is an extremely rare occurrence with our digital flow. It probably happens due to an inaccurate scan or inaccurate bite provided to us. Do not despair as we have a solution that will fix your problem.
Adjustments
Adjust the bite until you are preferably in CR occlusion or habitual occlusion if you feel it will work better for you. The ideal position would be to have CR occlusion coincide with the maximum intercuspation position (MIP).
It is important for the first point of contact to be “one of stability, occurring simultaneously on as many teeth as possible.” The contacts should not occur on inclines but instead be a solid stop. Ideally, squeezing the teeth after the first point of contact should not produce any apparent slide to achieve complete closure.
You may find that the teeth position, and midline are cockade, but as long as your bite is now correct, we will be able to re-establish the correct occlusion, and esthetics.
3D Facial Scan
